Our Story

Love & Basketball

It all started on August 2, 2021, when we both joined the San Antonio Spurs. During our first-day tour of the arena, we found ourselves in the locker room—Camille comfortably seated in DeMar DeRozan's chair when Daniel strolled over, jokingly claiming it as his own. From that moment on, we spent the rest of the tour exchanging witty dad-humor commentary, instantly clicking as friends.

A couple of months later after countless nights watching football, friendly tennis matches with coworkers, and adventures exploring San Antonio together, it became clear — this was something more. After a “friend”ly tennis match, Daniel finally said what they had both been thinking all along—and Camille couldn’t have agreed more. The rest, as they say, is history.

Getting to Carmel

Flight

The closest airport to fly into is Monterey Regional Airport (MRY). Since this is a small airport, flights can be limited. The drive to Carmel Valley is around 15 mins.

For a wider variety of flight options, look at San Jose International Airport (SJC), San Francisco International Airport (SFO), or Oakland International Airport (OAK). The drive to Carmel is about 1.5 hours from SJC and 2 hours from SFO and OAK.

Rideshare and public transportation are available as options to Carmel; however, we recommend renting a car as the most reliable option.

What to pack

The average temperatures in the Carmel Valley in December range from the low 60s to the low 40s with temperatures dropping at night. Please plan for cooler temperatures and we suggest warm layers for the evening. There are also portions of the venue that will be on grass and gravel. Please plan for appropriate footwear.

Carmel is a popular destination even in December and accommodations in the area fill up quickly so we encourage you to book sooner rather than later!

Is Transportation Provided To The Wedding Venue?

Yes! Transportation is provided and required to and from our wedding venue. Shuttles will be departing from Contenta Inn, Carmel Mission Inn, Carmel Valley Lodge, and Bernardus Lodge.

The venue does not allow parking or ride share on the property. More details on shuttles will be provided closer to the date, but we encourage all guests to enjoy their evening and plan for shuttling to and from the wedding.

Are Kids Welcome?

We cannot accommodate children at our wedding and reception. We hope this advance noticed will help with your arrangements and you will be able to come celebrate with us!
